Finally, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Nord 2 5G in India on July 22 and now the device is launched in Nepal. The company has launched this device as the successor to one of the most successful phones from OnePlus- the original OnePlus Nord. Let’s have a look at the specifications, features, availability, and official price of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G in Nepal.

Display and Design

OnePlus Nord 2 5G has a similar display to its predecessor. The handset has a 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The panel has a Full HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection. Unlike the original OnePlus Nord, it only has a single punch-hole cutout for a front-facing camera.

The phone looks similar to the OnePlus 9. It has a glass back design protected by Gorilla Glass 5 but OnePlus has used a disappointing plastic frame. It is available in three different color options: Gray Sierra, Blue Haze, and Green-Wood. Here, the first one comes with a matte finish whereas the Blue Haze option has a glossy finish. Finally, the Green-Wood option is exclusive to India which comes with Faux Leather on the back.

Camera

Moving on you get a triple camera setup on the back. There is a flagship-level 50MP Sony IMX799 main sensor with an f/1.88 aperture. It also supports OIS and PDAF. Similarly, it has an 8MP ultrawide lens with a 119.7-degree field of view and f/2.25 aperture.

Completing the setup is a 2MP mono lens which hardly makes any difference. Upfront, it has a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor with support for EIS.

OnePlus has added a bunch of new features to this device. It features dual view video, AI Photo Enhancement, AI Video Enhancement, and so on. Taking about the videos, you can only capture 4k videos up to 30fps from the rear camera whereas the front camera has support for only 1080p@30fps.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, OnePlus Nord 2 5G packs MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chipset. As the name of the device suggested, the Dimensity 1200-Ai chipset enables 5G capability with a maximum download speed of 1.2Gbps. It features six Cortex-A78 cores with a peak frequency of 3.0Ghz and the remaining two Cortex-A55 cores are clocked at 2.0Ghz. Moreover, the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU handles the graphics.

Users can choose between three different memory configurations: 6/128GB, 8/128GB, and 12/256GB. Unfortunately, OnePlus is still using old LPDDR4x RAM but the storage here is UFS 3.1.

The phone runs on OxygenOS 11.3 on top of Android 11. OnePlus has promised two major Android updates and three years of a security patch update.

Fueling the phone is a dual-cell 4500mAh battery. It supports 65W fast charging which can charge the battery from 0-100% in just 30 minutes.

Further, the phone has an optical under-display fingerprint scanner and feature 5G, (dual-band) Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, and Type-C 2.0 port.
