Vivo Y73 comes with a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with a U-shaped notch at the top. It has an FHD+ resolution and supports only a 60Hz refresh rate. While other companies like Xiaomi and Samsung have started to provide a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate in the budget phones, Vivo is still using a 60Hz panel in budget and mid-range phones.
However, the company has done some awesome work on its design. It has an Anti-Glare glass on the back which prevents fingerprints and looks pleasing as well. For better grip, Vivo has used a 2.5D curve on the frame of the phone. Also, the device is quite slim and light, measuring 7.38mm in thickness and weighing around 170g.

Here, you get a triple camera setup on the back. The setup has a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. Unfortunately, it misses an ultrawide angle lens. Completing the setup is a couple of 2MP macro and depth units for macro shots and depth data.
The primary rear camera can record up to 4K videos at 30fps. It also has some interesting features like Eye Autofocus, Night, Ultra Stable Video, Super Macro, Bokeh Portrait, and Multi-Style Portrait. Similarly, it has a 16MP front-facing camera inside the notch.

Under the hood, Vivo Y73 packs a MediaTek Helio G95 Soc. It is a budget gaming chipset that was featured in Redmi Note 10s, Realme 8, and many more. The chipset features an eight-core CPU with a maximum frequency of 2.05Ghz. It lacks power-efficient cores so it has bad battery backup. In the same way, it has MediaTek HyperEngine Technology for smoother gameplay.
The handset is available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Also, you can use 3GB of internal storage as RAM using the extended RAM feature. Further, it also has a dedicated MicroSD card slot for expanding storage up to 1TB.
