Realme 8 Overview:
Display and Design
If you remember, last year’s Realme 7 was packed with an IPS panel but we are getting a Super AMOLED panel with the new Realme 8. But the refresh rate has been down to a regular 60Hz. Still, you get 180Hz of the touch sampling rate. It also has a left-aligned punch-hole cutout at the front for the selfie camera.
The phone has a big “Dare to Leap” with looks unpleasant. It has 7.9mm of thickness and weighs around 177g. Realme 8 is available in two color options: Cyber Black and Cyber Silver.

Camera
Although the Pro model features high-quality 108MP, the regular model has a 64MP primary sensor. It has an aperture of f/1.8 and 0.8µm pixels. There is an 8MP ultrawide camera for taking ultrawide shots with a 119-degree field of view. It also has two 2MP macro and a monochrome lens. Some of the camera’s features available with Realme 8 are Tilt-shift Mode, Dynamic bokeh, and second-gen Starry mode.
On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.5. Taking about the ability to record the video, the phone can record 4K@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps from the rear camera while the front camera can record 1080p@30/120fps.
Performance and Memory
Moving to the performance, Realme 8 has an Helio G95 chipset which was already used in Realme 7. The chipset has 2x 2.05GHz Cortex-A76 & 6x 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 CPU and Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. It ships with Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on the top.
The phone comes with only 128GB of UFS 2.1 based internal storage while you can choose between 4/6/8GB LPDDR4x RAM. However, only an 8/128GB variant is available in Nepal. Also, you can expand the storage using a microSD card.

Battery and Connectivity
A 5000mAh battery fuels the device with a standby time of 40 days. While the Pro model has 50W of wired charging support, the Realme 8 has only support of 30W Dart Charge. The company claims that the 30W charger can charge the phone from 0 to 100-percent in 65 minutes.
Coming to connectivity, Realme 8 supports 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, FM Radio, USB Type-C 2.0 ports, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
