Let’s start with the cameras. Apple iPhone 13 Mini comes with the best dual-camera setup in any smartphone right now. It has a 12MP main sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and pixel size of 1.7µm. Now it also has sensor-shift stabilization like its pro models.
Similarly, there is a 12MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.4 aperture which is not as impressive as ultrawide on the pro model. However, it can also take 120-degree shots but can’t take macro shots. Upfront, it has a 12MP TrueDepth Selfie camera which supports the Center Stage feature to follow you around in the frame automatically.

Display and Design
Although the Pro model brings a 120Hz panel, iPhone 13 Mini is still stuck at 60Hz. It has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED panel with 2532 x 1170 pixels resolution. The screen supports HDR10 contents and can boost up to 1200 nits of brightness. Further, it has a 20% smaller notch as compared with iPhone 12 series.
Apple has changed the lens placement from vertical to diagonal. Its back panel is made up of glass and has an aluminum frame. Since it is IP68 certified, you can take the phone inside 6m water for 30 minutes. Moreover, it is available in five different color options: Starlight, Midnight, Blue, Pink, and Red.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, iPhone 13 Mini packs the latest Apple’s A15 Bionic chipset. It is a 5nm chipset having a Hexa-core CPU in which two are high-performance cores and the other four are high-efficiency core. It has a quad-core GPU which means we are missing an extra core from the pro models. The chipset has a new 16 core Neural Engine with a new ISP.
The handset base variant now starts at 128GB which is a good thing to hear about. It has 4GB of RAM and maxes out at 512GB storage. Further, It runs on Apple’s latest iOS 15.
