Camera
Let’s start with the most teased part of the phone, the cameras. The Oneplus collaborated with Hasselblad to develop the best camera for the Oneplus 9 Pro. There is a 48MP Sony IMX789 sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. It has 1.12 μm pixels and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). It can also produce 12-bit RAW images. There is also a dedicated Hasselblad Pro Mode which helps to take photos with a natural look and feel. The 50MP Sony IMX766 ultrawide lens has an aperture of f/2.2 and also can shoot macro photos at just a 4cm distance.
Oneplus didn’t follow the Samsung path of adding a periscope lens. The company is using a standard 8MP telephoto lens with a 3.3x optical zoom. It also has OIS. The last lens is a 2MP depth sensor for depth data.
On the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2. Taking about the video quality, the phone can record 8K@30fps, 4K@30/60/120fps, and 1080p@30/60/240fps from the rear camera. While it can only record 1080p videos at 30fps from the selfie camera.
Display and Design
Oneplus has introduced a new Fluid Display 2.0 with Oneplus 9 Pro. The phone comes with a 6.67-inches LTPO panel with a 2K resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels. They have claimed that the panel can save up to 50% power in general usage. It has a 120Hz refresh rate which can go down to 1Hz at the time of reading text or showing Always-on Display. Also, it has a 240Hz of touch sampling rate which increases the response times during gaming. Moreover, the panels HDR10+ certified has 1300 nits of maximum brightness and 525-PPI density.
There is a left-aligned punch-hole cutout on the front that houses a selfie camera. The phone measure 163.2 x 73.6 x 8.7mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 197g. It is available in three color options: Pine Green, Morning Mist, and Stellar Black. The new Pine Green has a soft double-layer matte finish while the other two have a frosted finish. It is also IP68 certified for dust and water resistance.

The Oneplus 9 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset based on 5nm process technology. It features an octa-core CPU with a clock speed up to 2.84Ghz and has Adreno 660 GPU for handling graphics.
We are getting fast LPDDR5x RAM with UFS 3.1 based internal storage. The phone comes in two storage configurations: 8/128GB and 12/256GB.
There is a new Cool Play setup based on 8T cooling solution with a larger vapor chamber, thicker graphite sheets, and more copper foil for keeping the device cool.
It runs on Android 11 with OxygenOS 11 on the top out the box. Since there were some issue with camera battery endurance, OnePlus has rolled a new update claiming improvement in the battery consumption, more polished camera experience, and other minor changes.

A 4500mAh battery fuels the device which supports 65W of fast charging. It also supports 50W of fast wireless charging. According to the company, the 65W wired charger can charge from 0-100 percent in just 29 minutes. Also, they have claimed that the 50W wireless charger can charge the phone from dead to full at just 43 minutes.
Taking about the connectivity, the Oneplus 9 Pro supports WI-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 3.1 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also has an optical under-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers.
