Camera
Vivo Y12s flaunts two camera sensors at the back. The setup has a 13MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. It is followed by a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. The device is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.
On the front, it has an 8MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. The front camera can also record 1080p videos at 30fps. I recommend you to go with Redmi 9 Power for better camera quality.
Display and Design
The device comes with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It has a ~81.6% screen-to-body ratio and ~270 PPI density. There is a small water-drop notch on the top of the display for the selfie camera. The bezels and chin are quite thick. It has a protection mode to filter out the harmful blue rays.
Vivo Y12s measures 164.4 x 76.3 x 8.4 mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 191g. The back panel has a gradient finish which feels good on the hand. There is a vertical camera module that holds dual cameras and a LED flash. The fingerprint sensor is available in the power button which is becoming common these days. It has a triple card slot but the Type-C port is missing here. The phone is available with two color options: Glacier Blue and Phantom Black.

Performance and Memory
The Vivo Y12s is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 (12nm) chipset which is almost 2 and a half years old now. If we see other smartphones in similar price categoriy then, they used to features G-series chipsets that really perform better and optimized well for gaming. Graphics are handled by PowerVR GE8320 GPU on this device. It runs on Android 10 with Funtouch 11 at the top. Multi-Turbo 3.0 is included on this device for a better gaming experience. This feature manages the resources like RAM, network, CPU, and GPU during your gaming session.
Taking about the memory configuration, the device has a single storage variant of 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. As we mentioned earlier, it has a triple card slot which means we can further expand our storage via microSD card. If you want a better gaming experience then you must be looking at other smartphones.
Battery & Charging
The handset features a 5000mAh battery. It doesn’t support fast charging. But we can use to phone as a power bank because it supports the reverse charging of 5W.
