Display and Design

The display is an interesting feature of this phone. Vivo iQOO Neo5 comes with a 6.62-inch OLED panel with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz and touche sampling rate up to a crazy 1000Hz touch sampling rate. Now you can imagine how smooth gaming performance you will get from the device. It is HDR 10+ certified, has 1300 nits of maximum brightness, and ~398-PPI density.

The center-aligned punch hole cut out on the front looks pleasing. It measure 163.3 x 76.4 x 8.4mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 196g. The camera module looks similar to iQOO 7. However, the camera arrangements are different.

Camera

The Vivo iQOO Neo5 flaunts a quad-camera setup on the back. There is a 48MP primary sensor on the back with an aperture of f/1.8 and OIS. It is accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 120-degree field of view. There are two 2MP macro and depth cameras for macro shots and depth data.

On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0. From the rear camera, the phone can record 4K@30fps and 1080p@30fps whereas it can only record 1080p videos at only 30fps from the front camera.

Performance and Memory

Moving to performance, the iQOO Neo5 features a Snapdragon 870 5G chipset based on 7nm process technology. It features 1x 3.2GHz, 3x 2.42GHz, and 4x 1.8GHz Kryo 585 cores. Adreno 650 GPU handles the graphics.

The phone has two RAM options: 8GB or 12GB. The 8GB RAM is coupled with either 128GB or 256GB and 12GB is coupled with 256GB of UFS 3.1 based internal storage. Unfortunately, there is no option to expand the storage.

Battery & Other Specs

Fueling the phone with a 4400mAh battery supports 66W of fast wired charging. According to the company, the 66W charger can fully charge the battery in just 30 minutes.

Coming to connectivity, the Vivo iQOO Neo5 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and NFC. Also, it has USB Type-C 2.2, a single speaker, and an optical under-display fingerprint sensor. The phone is available in three color options: Black, Blue, and Orange.
