Display and Design
Here, the Xperia 1 III comes with a 6.5-inch OLED panel with 4k resolution while the Xperia 5 III sports a smaller 6-1-inch OLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution. Both of them have a cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, they support HDR contents and can show up to 1B colors.
Like cheaper Xperia 1 III, Both Xperia 1 III and 5 III have thick chin and head. The back design on both phones similar to the renders we reported earlier. The Xperia 1 III is available in Black, Gray, and Purple color options while the Xperia 5 III comes in Black, Green, and Pink color options. Moreover, both devices are IP65/68 certified.
Camera
The camera is the most interesting feature of every Sony device. Both the devices have nearly identical camera setups. The rear camera setup has a 12MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.7 and IOS. There is a 12MP ultrawide lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 124-degree field of view. The 12MP telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.8 and OIS supports 10x optical zoom.
3D ToF camera is exclusive to only Xperia 1 III. On the front, both phones have an 8MP selfie shooter. Taking about the video quality, 4k@30/60/120fps and 1080p@30/60/120/240fps videos can be recorded from the rear cameras.

Both phones are powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset based on 5nm process technology. It has an octa-core (1x 2.84GHz Kryo 680 & 3x 2.42GHz Kryo 680 & 4x 1.80GHz Kryo 680) CPU and Adreno 660 GPU.
The Xperia 1 III comes with 12GB of RAM with either 256/512GB of internal storage. At the same time, Xperia 5 III comes with 8GB of RAM paired with either 128 or 256 GB of storage. There is a hybrid card slot, so you can also expand the storage through a microSD card.

Both phones pack a 4500mAh battery that supports up to 30W fast charging. You also get an option to charge both devices wirelessly. As per connectivity, both phones support 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and NFC. They also have a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C 2.0 ports.

Both devices will be available at the start of this summer and price is yet to be revealed. The Sony Xperia 1 III might starts at around $1,199 and Xperia 5 III might cost around S999. The expected price of the Sony Xperia 1 III and 5 III in Nepal is NPR 149,999 and NPR 124,999 respectively.
