Display and Design

Here, Samsun Galaxy Tab A8 has a 10.5-inch TFT LCD display with think bezels all around the display. It comes with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolutions that result in a 16:10 aspect ratio. Moreover, its front-facing camera is placed on the right bezel which means it will be easier for you while attending online meetings and classes.

The handset sports a metallic body with “Samsung” branding at the bottom left corner and a circular cutout for the rear camera on the top left corner. It is just 6.9mm thick and weighs around 508g. Similarly, it is available four different color options (market dependent): Gold, Gray, Pink, and Silver.

Moving on, you get a single 8MP rear-facing camera. It supports Auto Focus and can record 1080p videos up to 30fps. Similarly, there is a 5MP selfie snapper for video calling which can also record 1080p videos up to 30fps.

Under the hood, Galaxy Tab A8 packs an octa core-chipset clocked at 2.0Ghz. Although Samsung hasn’t revealed the chipset name but rumors claim it to be Unisoc T618 chipset. With a new chipset, the device offers 10& battery CPU performance and 10% faster GPU as compared with its predecessor.  

The 3GB RAM variant of the tablet has 32GB internal storage whereas the 4GB model comes with either 64GB or 128GB of in-built storage. It also has a MicroSD card for expanding storage up to 1TB.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 gets fuel from a 7040mAh battery that supports 15W charging. On the software front, it runs on Android 11 with One UI skin on top. Furthermore, it features Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C 2.0 port.
