Design and Display
Upfront, you get a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display on both Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus. They have a Full HD+ resolution and HDR10+ certification. Their refresh ranges from 48-120Hz depending upon the task you are doing on the screen.
The screen of the Galaxy S23 measures 6.1 inches while the S23 Plus gets a larger 6.6-inch panel. Both come with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and a center-aligned punch-hole design. Moreover, you get 1750 nits of peak brightness on both devices.
Talking about the design, you get few changes compared to S22/S22+. The camera module has been changed and it looks similar to that of the S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra. Both smartphones come with IP68 dust/water resistance and an Armor aluminum frame. Further, they have four color options: Phantom Black, Cream, Green, and Lavender.

Camera
Samsung hasn’t done any major upgrades on the cameras of the Galaxy S23 and S23+. You get a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, Dual Pixel PDAF, and OIS. It is accompanied by a 10MP 3X telephoto lens and a 120-degree 12MP ultrawide lens.
Despite using the old hardware, Samsung has made some changes and improvements to the software. The Galaxy S23 series brings improvement in video stabilization and Night modes. Also, now you can shoot RAM images from the default camera app.
Coming to the front, there is a 12MP selfie camera. Likewise the Ultra mode, these smartphones can also record 8k videos up to 30fps from the rear camera and up to 4k@60fps from the front camera.

Finally, Samsung has gotten rid Exynos chipset from the S23 series. Now, all the devices in the S23 series are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets.
The Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus have equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It is also a custom chipset like the S23 Ultra. This chipset features a Cortex-X3 core that can clock up to 3.36Ghz and the regular SD 8 Gen 2 frequency can go up to 3.2Ghz only.
All the other seven cores are running at 2.8Ghz and 2.0Ghz. Likewise, the GPU frequency is also overclocked at 719MHz which is 39Mhz faster than a regular SD 8 Gen 2 processor.
Moving on, there is up to 512GB of storage and 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM on both handsets. The Galaxy S23 also has a 128GB variant that uses UFS 3.1 storage while all other models enjoy UFS 4.0 storage.
