Samsung Galaxy A53 Overview:
Display and Design
The Samsung Galaxy A53 has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It has the same punch-hole design at the top center and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Likewise, the panel has a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels which results in a 20:9 aspect ratio.
The handset has an almost identical design to the Galaxy A52. It has a rectangular camera module with “Samsung” branding at the bottom. However, it misses out on a 3.5mm headphone jack which was available in its predecessor. Moreover, you can choose between four different color options: Black, White, Blue, and Peach.
Camera
There is nothing new in the camera department too. It has the same 64MP main sensor with OIS leading the quad-camera setup. The 12MP ultrawide lens has a 123-degree field of view and an f/2.2 aperture. At last, there is a pair of 5MP macro and depth cameras for macro and portrait shots.
Upfront, you get the same 32MP selfie snapper with an f/2.2 aperture. Talking about the video quality, it still maxes out at 4k@30fps from both rear and front cameras.

Performance and Memory
According to Samsung, Galaxy A53 packs an octa-core processor with 2.4Ghz of peak clock speed. According to rumors, the chipset is Exynos 1280. It is a 5nm-based 5G chipset with Mali-G68 GPU.
The phone comes with either 6GB or 8GB RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage. You can also expand the storage using a MicroSD card. Likewise, it also has a RAM Plus feature which can provide an additional 6GB of virtual RAM.
On the software front, the handset ships with Android 12 out of the box with One UI 4.1 on top. Samsung has also promised 4 years of major Android updates.
Rest of the Specs
Fueling the device is a 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. Unfortunately, it ships without a charger inside the box so you have to buy a Type-C charge separately if you don’t have it already.
For biometrics authentication, the phone features an Optical Under Display fingerprint scanner and face unlock. Other features include stereo speakers, 5G, 4G LTE, (2.5/5Ghz) Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and Type-C 2.0 port.
