The Samsung Galaxy A12 sports a 6.5-inch TFT LCD panel. It has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, the panel has ~264-pixels density and ~85.8% screen-to-body ratio. Unfortunately, Samsung opted for an Infinity-V notch instead of a punch-hole display. There are noticeable bezels and chin.

The device measure 164 x 74.8 x 8.9mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 205g. It has plastic with a dual-tone finish with a textured look on the top portion. There is a square module that houses a quad-camera setup. Also, the phone has a triple card slot, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C 2.0 port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Camera

Moving to the cameras, there is a quad-camera setup at the back. The setup is led by a 48MP primary sensor with an aperture of 2.0. It is accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 123-degree field of view. There are additional two 2MP macro and depth cameras for macro and portrait shots. The phone can record 1080p videos at 30fps from the rear camera.

Samsung hasn’t revealed the exact chipset till now. According to the data Samsung has provided we speculate that the Galaxy A12 is powered by Helio P35 chipset. It has a total of 8 cores which contain 4x 2.35GHz and 4x 1.8GHz Cortex-A53 cores. PowerVR GE8320 GPU handles the Graphics.

The phone is available with only one RAM option of 4GB paired with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. We can further expand the internal storage up to 1TB through a microSD card.
