Design and Display
Ripple Nova Pro Ryzen has the same 15.6-inch IPS LCD display. It comes with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and has support for a 165Hz refresh rate. Likewise, it has 100% sRGB coverage and packs an HD webcam in the upper bezel.
No changes in the design as well as the Ryzen variant also bring the same chassis as its Intel variant. It weighs 1.91Kg and has the dimension of 360.2 x 243.5 x 19.9 mm. Similarly, its keyboard has S-Zone Backlit RGB along with a dedicated numerical keypad.
Performance and Memory
Powering the Ripple Nova Pro Ryzen is the Ryzen 7 6800H processor. It features 8 cores and 16 threads. Its peak clock speed 4.7Ghz and has 16MB cache memory. This is not an upgrade over the Intel i7-12700H has 6 more cores, 8MB more cache memory, and better benchmark scores that the Ryzen 7 6800H.
However, there are a few advantages of Ryzen 7 6800H as well. It is built under 6nm architecture making it more power-efficient. On a gaming laptop, do you look for a power-efficient chipset or a powerful chipset? One more good thing about this chipset is that it got support for quad-channel memory.
Talking about GPU, it packs the same Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU that has 6GB GDDR6 RAM and has a maximum power of 140W. Similarly, it also retains MUX Switch that directly connects the display with the GPU for better FPS. For cooling, there is a 3rd Gen X-cooling system.
The base variant of this laptop is available with 16GB DDR5 RAM which is an upgrade over its predecessor with 8GB base RAM. It is paired with 256GB M.2 SSD. Furthermore, The RAM is upgradeable up to 32GB while the storage is upgraded up to 1TB only.
