Redmi K50i launched in India with 144Hz display and Dimensity 8100 chipset

Xiaomi has finally launched a Redmi-K series smartphone outside China. Today, the company debuted the Redmi K50i in India which is the same Redmi Note 11T Pro launched in China a few months back. Let’s have a look at the specifications, features, availability, and expected price of the Redmi K50i in Nepal.

Design and Display

The 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen on the Redmi K50i is impressive. It supports up to an a144Hz refresh rate and features 7-speed adaptive switching to reduce the refresh rate to conserve battery life. Likewise, the display supports up to a 270Hz touch sampling rate and has 650 nits of peak brightness.

The new Redmi Note 11T Pro sports a curved back panel. You get a rectangular camera module and the power button contains a fingerprint scanner. The device is 8.87mm thick and weighs 200g. Additionally, it comes in Black, Blue, and Silver color options.

Camera

On the back of this device, there are three cameras altogether. A 64MP main camera with a 1/1.72′′ sensor is available. Likewise, there is an 8MP ultrawide sensor that can capture 120-degree images. Finally, it includes a 2MP macro camera for getting close-up pictures.

The phone sports a 16MP selfie camera inside the punch hole on the front. here, you can shoot 4k videos at 30 frames per second and up to 120 frames per second using the back camera’s 1080p resolution. The front camera can also capture films at up to 1080p@60 frames per second.

Performance

The MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor powers the Redmi K50i smartphone. The chipset is based on 5nm technology and includes 4 cores running at 2.85GHz and another 4 cores operating at 2GHz. This chipset has lately been seen in several smartphones, including the Realme GT Neo 3 which was recently launched in Nepal.

Talking about the memory, the device packs 6/8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Here is no MicroSD card slot for expanding storage. On the software front, it comes pre-installed with Android 12 and MIUI 13 on top. Moreover, it includes a Liquid Cool Technology 2.0 for keeping the temperature ointhe check.

Redmi K50i Price in Nepal and Availability

As of now, Redmi K50i is exclusive to the Indian market. There, it retails at INR 25,999 for the base 6/128GB variant and INR 28,999 for the 8/256GB trim. If it ever makes its way to Nepal then we expect the Redmi K50i price in Nepal to be around NPR 44,999 for the base model.
