Design and Build Quality
The device measure 163.7 x 76.4 x 7.8mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 196g. It has a glossy back finish. The camera module looks identical to Mi 11. There is a left-aligned punch hole cut out the front for the selfie camera.
Both front and back glass are protected by gorilla glass 5. The bezels and chin are quite minimal. It has a Type-C 2.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and stereo speakers. Also, the phone is IP-57 certified.
Display
Redmi K40 Pro sports a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and touches sampling rate up to 360Hz+. The panel has ~395-pixel density and 1300 nits of maximum brightness. Furthermore, it is HDR10+ certified and has a 20:9 aspect ratio.

The phone flaunts a triple camera setup at the back. The setup has a 64MP primary lens with an aperture of f/1.9. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 119-degree field of view. There is an additional 5MP macro lens for macro shots. It is capable of recording 8K@30fps, 4k@30/60fps, and 1080p videos up to 960fps from the rear camera.
On the front, there is a 20MP selfie camera. It can shoot 1080p@30fps and 720p videos at 120fps.

The Redmi K40 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 888 based on 5nm process technology. It features 1x 2.84GHz, 3x 2.42GHz, and 4x 1.8GHz Kryo 680 cores. The chipset has integrated a 5G modem for 5G connectivity. Graphics are handled by Adreno 660 GPU.
The phone is available with two storage variants. The 6GB RAM model is paired with 128GB of storage while the 8GB RAM is coupled with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Unfortunately, the microSD card slot is missing here.
