Redmi 9 Power is officially launched in Nepal. It is an entry-level budget phone which gives you a good camera, awesome battery life, and overall good performance. Here in this post, we will have a look at the specs, features, official price, and availability of the Redmi 9 Power in Nepal.
Redmi 9 Power Overview
The Redmi 9 Power comes with a quad-camera setup on the back with a 48MP sensor of aperture f/1.8 as a primary lens. There is an 8MP ultrawide sensor of aperture f/2.2 with a 120-degree field of view. In a similar manner, the setup contains two 2MP macro and depth sensors of aperture f/2.4. The device is capable of recording 1080p videos at only 30 fps from the rear camera. There are different features like Movie Frame, Night Mode, Time-Lapse, Portrait, and Color Focus which are common in Redmi devices.
On the front, it has an 8MP front-facing camera of aperture f/2.0. From a selfie camera, the device can record 1080p videos at 30fps. There are also different features like AI beautifications, portraits, etc.

Design and Display
The phone measures 162.3 x 77.3 x 9.6 mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 198g. It has the quite similar built quality to Redmi 9 Prime but has some design changes. Curved back edges with an anti-fingerprint texture feel good on the hand. There is a rectangular camera module that looks different from its predecessor. But huge Redmi branding at the back looks unpleasant. Also the fingerprint sensor placement has been changed. Now the power button also works as a fingerprint reader.
The Redmi 9 Power sports a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel of resolution 1080 x 2340 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and ~395 PPI density. The small notch at the top looks decent and the bezels are quite thin. The display is quite bright with 400 nits of maximum brightness. The front panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 which is old now.

Performance and Memory
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset which is based on 11nm technology. It’s quite disappointing for those who were expecting a better performance than Redmi 9 Prime with MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. Helio G80 outperforms the Snapdragon 662 during gaming. However, there is no noticeable difference in day-to-day tasks. Graphics are handled by Adreno 610 GPU.
Redmi 9 Power got only two storage variants of 4GB RAM 64GB of storage and 4GB RAM 128GB of storage. 64GB storage is UFS 2.1 based whereas 128GB storage is UFS 2.2 based. If you want better gaming performance then I recommend you add a little bit more money and go with Redmi Note 9.

The phone features a gigantic 6000mAh battery. It supports the fast wired charging of 18W (include a 22.5W charger in the box) and 2.5W of reverse wired charging.
The device supports Wi-Fi ac (2.4GHz/5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0. Unfortunately, we are missing NFC here. There is an IR blaster at the top which allows you to use your phone as a TV remote, AC remote and it also has LED notification. It has a triple-card shot. The phone is available with four different color options: Blazing Blue, Electric Green, Fiery Red, and Mighty Black.
