Both devices are powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset while there are differences between these two smartphones which we will discuss later in this article. Red Magic 7S, 7S Pro Overview
Design and Display
Upfront, both devices sport a 6.8-inch 10-bit AMOLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution. Here, the vanilla model supports a 165Hz refresh rate and a 720Hz touch sampling rate. At the same time, the pro model is restricted to a 120Hz refresh rate but got a higher-touch sampling rate up to 960Hz. Both panels come with DC dimming and cover 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. Moreover, the pro model has an under-display selfie camera while the vanilla model has a selfie camera inside the top bezel.
Red Magic 7S and 7S Pro have different designs on the back panel which you can clearly see in the above picture. Their back panel is made up of glass and the frames are of aluminum. Talking about the color options: there are Black and Gray options while you get additional Silver and Yellow color options on the pro model.
Performance and Cooling
As stated earlier, both handsets are powered by the latest and greatest android chipset i.e Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Recently, the chipset has been featured in Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro and brings some good upgrades over Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Its 1x Cortex-X2 cores clock at 3.2Ghz, 3x Cortex-A710 cores are clocking at 2.75Ghz, and the remaining 4X Cortex-A510 cores are set at 1.8GHz. Likewise, it has Adreno 730 GPU for handling graphics.
On the vanilla model, you get up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM while the pro model has additional 18GB RAM options. Similarly, there is up to 512GB storage on the 7S while the 7S Pro got up to a 1TB storage option. Talking about the cooling system, you get a built-in fan on both devices. The 7S has a 9-layer system, the 7S Pro is going up to a 10-layer of the cooling system.
Camera
Moving to optics, both devices have the same triple camera setup. The primary camera uses a 64MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture. Its second lens is an 8MP ultrawide sensor with a 120-degree field of view. At last, there is a 2MP macro snapper with an f/2.4 aperture. Likewise, you get 8MP selfie shooter on the handsets.

Fueling the Red Magic 7S Pro is a 5000mAh battery that supports 135W fast charging via a Type-C port. At the same time, the standard 7S packs a 4500mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
For security, there is an optical under-display fingerprint scanner on both devices. Likewise, you get a 3.5mm headphone jack alongside stereo speakers set up on these handsets.
