Realme was teasing the Realme 8 Pro for a while. Finally, the day has come for Realme to unveil the Realme 8 Pro alongside Realme 8. There is no drastic change between the last year’s Realme 7 series and the newly launched 8 series. Here in this post, we will be looking at the specs, features, expected price, and availability of the Realme 8 Pro in Nepal.

Display and Design

The Realme 8 Pro lags behind its competitors in terms of display quality. Realme 8 Pro sports a 6.4-inches Super AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It has a regular 60Hz refresh rate. If we see its competitors like Redmi Note 10 Pro, they are featuring 120Hz panel. Fortunately, the company has provided a 180Hz touch sampling rate.

There is a left-aligned punch-hole cutout on the front for the selfie camera. It has quite thick bezels and chin as compared with other devices. The phone measure 160.6 x 73.9 x 8.1mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 176g. It has a square camera bump at the back which houses four cameras and a LED flash. Like other Realme devices, it has large “DARE TO LEAP” branding at the back which is not quite good. Moreover, the phone has a triple card slot which contains a slot for a microSD card and two slots for 2 SIM cards.

Camera

Moving to the camera, the Realme 8 Pro flaunts a quad-camera setup at the back. There is a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor with an aperture of f/1.9 which is used in recent Samsung flagships. It has 0.7μm pixels and has the support of 9-in-1 binning for producing the final image of 12MP. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens with an aperture of f/2.3 and a 119-degree field of view. There are two 2MP macro and B&W sensors.

On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.5. Taking about the video quality, the phone can record 4@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120/480fps, and 720p@960fps from the rear camera. Meanwhile, it can only record 1080p videos at 30 and 120 fps from the selfie camera.

Performance and Memory

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 720G chipset which Realme is using since Realme 6 Pro. Recently launched Realme C25 was the first to come with Realme UI 2.0, now the Realme 8 series joined the party.

Realme 8 Pro is available in 6GB or 8GB of RAM with only a 128GB storage option. As we mentioned earlier, there is an option to expand the storage via a microSD card.

Battery and Connectivity

Fueling the device with a 4500mAh battery supports 50W of fast wired charging which is a downgrade from Realme 7 Pro with 65W charging. But the company is providing a 65W charger that can charge the phone up to 100 percent in just 34 minutes.

Coming to the connectivity, the phone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
