Finally, Poco Nepal launched the Poco X3 Pro in Nepal. Lots of gamers in Nepal were eagerly waiting for this device. Even, Poco X3 was praised for its performance and display. However, Users already started to complain about its heating problem which was also a major problem with the vanilla Poco X3. Let’s have a look at the specs, features, official price, and availability of the Poco X3 Pro in Nepal.
Poco X3 Pro Overview
Poco X3 Pro is similar to vanilla Poco X3. The chipset is only a major upgrade and other hardware are almost similar.
Here, the Poco X3 Pro got an identical display to the vanilla Poco X3. It has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, resulting in a 20:9 aspect ratio and ~395 PPI density.
The display has supports for a 120Hz refresh rate to make the display smooth and a 240Hz touch sampling rate to make the panel more responsive. It comes with 450 nits of typical brightness and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Moreover, it supports HDR10 contents and has features like Sunlight display, and Reading Mode 2.0.
Design and Built Quality
Again, Poco X3 Pro has an identical design to the vanilla Poco X3. It has a 3D curved glass panel on the back with an anti-fingerprint texture. There is a huge “POCO” branding however, it is smaller than “Dare to Leap” branding on Realme phones. The phone is available in three different color options: Frost Blue, Metal Bronze, and Phantom Black.
Because of the IPS LCD panel, Xiaomi has to place the fingerprint sensor on the power button instead of under the front glass. Upfront, there is a center-aligned punch-hole cutout and minimal bezels, and a slightly notable chin. Furthermore, it features IP53 certifications, a hybrid card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and stereo speakers.
The handset flaunts a quad-camera setup on the back. It is led by a 48MP primary sensor instead of 64MP as on vanilla Poco X3. The second lens is an 8MP ultrawide lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 119-degree field of view. At last, there is a pair of 2MP macro and depth units. On the front, there is a 20MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2.
The rear camera includes different features like 48MP Mode, AI beauty, Movie frame, Timed-burst, HDR, Long exposure, Documents mode 2.0, Pro mode, Night mode, Portrait mode, Panorama, time-lapse, vlog mode, and so on. While the front camera also has different features like Night mode, Timed selfie, Movie frame, AI Beautify, Filters, Palm Shutter, Panorama, Time-lapse, Movie frame, AI portrait video, AI video beautify, Filters, Short video, EIS, and so on.
Taking about the video quality, you can record 4k videos at 30fps and 1080p videos at 30/60fps from the rear camera while you can only record 1080p/[email protected] from the front-facing camera.
Performance, Memory & Software
Performance is the highlighting feature of the phone. It is powered by a high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chipset based on a 7nm fabrication process. The chipset has Kyro 480 CPU clocked at 2.9Ghz and Adreno 640 as GPU.
The company has shared some benchmark scores to prove how powerful the device is. With a 419,412 AnTuTu v8 score, it seems to be 52% better than the Snapdragon 765G used on OnePlus Nord. Here, you get LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus which contains copper heat pipe and several graphite layers for reducing the heat. Although it got some cooling technology, lots of people are suffering from a heating issue with an hour of a gaming session.
The device is available with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 8GB of LPDDR4x and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 based internal storage. You can expand the storage up to 1TB using a MicroSD card but uses a SIM slot.
It runs on MIUI 12.0 on top of Android 11 out-of-the-box. Now, Poco has started rolling the stable MIUI 12.5 update for Poco X3 Pro. With MIUI 12.5, the company has reduced the overall system apps and made some unusable app uninstallable. Further, It also brings a more seamless experience.
