Design and Display

Poco M3 Pro 5G comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, resulting in a 20:9 aspect ratio. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate which is switchable between 30/50/60/90Hz. The panel has a contrast ratio of 1500:1 and 360-degree light ambient sensors. There is a tiny center-aligned punch-hole cutout that houses a selfie camera. Moreover, it is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and has 400 nits of typical brightness.

The phone measures 161.81 x 75.34 x 8.92 mm and weighs 190g. The rectangular camera module houses a triple camera setup and a LED flash. The POCO branding is placed just below the camera bump and a 5G branding is located in the bottom left corner. Further, The handset is available in three different color options: Power Black, Cool Blue, and Poco Yellow.

Camera

Coming to the optics, Poco M3 Pro 5G comes with a triple camera setup on the back. The setup is led by a 48MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. It is accompanied by a pair of 2MP macro and depth cameras for macro and portrait shots. Upfront, there is an 8MP selfie shooter inside the punch hole.

There are different interesting features on the rear camera like video macro mode, slow-motion, and so on. AI Beautify, Movie frame, and Portrait are some of the front camera features.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the handset packs a Dimensity 700 5G chipset based on 7nm process technology with peak download speed up to 2.77Gbps. It features two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2Ghz, six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0Ghz, and Mali G57 GPU. It ships with MIUI 11 based on Android 11 out of the box.

You can choose between 4GB or 6GB LPDDR4x RAM options. Here, 4GB RAM is mated with 64GB internal storage while the 6GB RAM is paired with 128GB internal storage.

The Poco M3 Pro 5G has a 5000mAh battery, a downgrade from the regular Poco M3 with a 6000mAh battery. Thankfully, you get the same charging rate of 18W and the 18W charger is included inside the box.

It has support for 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and NFC (limited market). Furthermore, the fingerprint sensor has been placed right frame which doubles as the power button.
