Google finally launched the high-end Pixel 5. Pixel 5 is a kinda midrange flagship because it’s not that much good as other flagships out there. But it is cheaper too. Pixel 5 starts at $699 in the US. If you remember Google Pixel 4 was the bust of the year 2019 but this time Google did a good comeback with Pixel 5. The Pixel 5 is competing against iPhone 12 and Oneplus 8t. But Pixel 5 has some drawbacks like not impressive design, midrange performance, etc. Still, Pixel 5 is the best still photo camera and one of the best overall camera phones in the $700 segment. Here we will discuss Google Pixel 5 price in Nepal, specification, and availability.

Overviews
Camera
The highlighting of Pixel 5 and other Google phones is the camera. As I mentioned earlier, the Pixel 5 is one of the best camera phones. Although they use 2 years old hardware, they can produce outstanding images. It’s all because of software magic done by Google for image optimization. Also with Pixel 5, HDR has also improved.
Pixel 5 comes with a dual-camera at the back with the primary lens of 12.2 MP f/1.7 with OIS and a 16MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens with a 107-degree field of view. Unfortunately, a telephoto lens is missing here which we shouldn’t be expecting in such a price range. Taking about the video quality from the back, it can shoot 4K@ 30/60fps and 1080p@30/60/120/240fps. Although it seems to be good on paper, it still can’t match the level of the iPhone’s video quality. In the front, it features an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera. This 8MP sensor can shoot at only 1080p@30fps. Overall, its camera is definitely good at real-world performance.
Design and Built Quality
Pixel 5 looks similar to Pixel 4a. It got an aluminum back and aluminum frame. Although it’s an aluminum back, Pixel 5 got wireless charging because there is an invisible circular cutout at the back. Its front glass is protected by gorilla glass 6 and there is a punch-hole selfie cutout at the front which holds an 8MP sensor.
Pixel 5 doesn’t feel as premium as iPhone 12 and Oneplus 8t on the hand. It also got a traditional rear-mounted fingerprint sensor at the back called “Pixel Imprint”. This makes the phone looks old-fashioned. It would be good if Google will include the in-display sensor in the next pixel 5a. But pixel 5 is ip68 certified.
Display
Pixel 5 features a 6.0” 1080P OLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. This panel has a pixel density of `~432 PPI density and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. If we see competitors like OnePlus 8T, Galaxy S20 FE, they come with a 120Hz display. This 90Hz display might be a good side for someone over iPhone 12 with a regular 60Hz display. There is no big bezel on the top of Pixel 5 like its predecessor Pixel 4.
Performance
Performance is a disappointing part of this phone. While other flagships are featuring high-end Soc, Google stick with midrange Snapdragon 765G. Due to this chipset, the device is a 5G-enabled device unlike Pixel 4. This chipset has integrated the Snapdragon X52 model for 5G connectivity.
Pixel 5 comes with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB of UFS 2.1 based storage. Due to slow chipset and slow storage, this device not going to perform as well as iPhone 12 and OnePlus 8T. If you are looking for a fast phone then better to look at other phones.
5G Connectivity
As I mentioned earlier, Pixel 5 comes with 5G enabled Snapdragon 765G chipset. Pixel 5 is the first 5G phone from Google..
Battery & Charging
Taking about the battery, Pixel 5 is packed with a 4080mAh battery with 18W fast wired charging. This is not crazy fast charging because there are lots of phones available in this price segment with better charging technology. The phone supports the wireless charging of 12W and 5W of reverse wireless charging too.
