Oppo F21 Pro Overview
Design and Display
Oppo has made some significant changes in the design aspect of the F21 compared to its predecessor. It brings a Fiberglass-leather design while keeping its thickness at just 7.5mm and weight of 175g. It comes with an IPX4 rating making it splash-resistant.
Likewise, the device includes an RBG ring light around the camera module that lights when you receive a notification or when your phone is charging. Moreover, it has two color options: Cosmic Black (Normal Glass Back) and Sunset Orange.
Talking about the display, you are looking at a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that supports up to a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a Full HD+ resolution and got up to 180Hz touch sampling rate. Further, it has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and features a punch hole for enclosing a selfie camera.
Camera
Here, Oppo F21 Pro flaunts a triple camera setup and it doesn’t include an ultrawide lens. Surely, it will cost our NPR 45K and it is a joke to include that useless 2MP microscope and depth lenses instead of an ultrawide camera. However, the primary camera uses a 64MP lens that has an f/1.7 aperture.
On the front, there is a 32MP Sony IMX709 selfie camera. This handset doesn’t have a 4K recording option or even 1080p@30fps on both front and rear cameras. The max resolution you can go from both cameras is just 1080p@30fps.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, Oppo F21 Pro packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset manufactured under 6nm architecture. Seriously? This is the same chipset powering the Redmi 10 that retails at just NPR 18,999 in Nepal.
As per memory, the device comes in a single memory configuration of 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For storage expansion, it has a MicroSD card slot. Moreover, it runs on Android 12 with ColorOS 12.1 on top.

Rest of the Specs
Backing the phone is a 4500mAh battery that charges at 33W speed. In 2022, 33W charging on a midrange Chinese phone isn’t a deal breaker as Xiaomi is providing 67W charging at under 40K in Nepal.
For biometrics authentication, there is an optical under-display fingerprint and software-based face unlock. BTW, the device misses out on stereo speakers as well while it retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.
