OnePlus announced the OnePlus Ace in China which is a new mid-range smartphone. The company may launch some name devices under the Ace lineup in the upcoming days. The handset packs a customized Dimensity 8100 Max chipset with a 120Hz AMOLED display. Display and Design
OnePlus Ace sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate which can also be switched between 60Hz and 90Hz. Similarly, the display has 950 nits of max brightness and supports 1B colors and HDR10+ content. Furthermore, it has a punch-hole design at the top center for a selfie camera.
Talking about the design, the OnePlus Ace sports a different design from other OnePlus devices. It comes with small stripes coming from the camera module all the way down to the bottom. Also, the “OnePlus” logo is now placed at the bottom right corner which we usually see in the center. Furthermore, it is available in two color options: Black and Blue.
Camera
Talking about the camera, the device has a triple camera setup at the back. The setup has a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera that comes with OIS and an f/1.88 aperture. It is followed by an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide angle lens with a 119.8-degree field of view and an f/2.2 aperture. Likewise, it has a 2MP macro camera for taking macro shots.
Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture. It is also used in Face Unlock and can also be used to record videos up to 1080p@30fps. Similarly, the rear camera can record 4k videos at 30fps while you can go up to 240fps at 1080p resolution.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, OnePlus Ace is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max chipset which has been customized especially for this device. The chipset features an octa-core CPU that can go up to 2.85GHz clock speed. Likewise, it features Mali-G610 MC6 GPU for handling graphics.
The device comes with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Similarly, it runs on Android 12 out of the box with ColorOS 12.1 on top. However, it will be available with Oxygen OS outside china.

Other Features
The device packs a 4500mAh non-removable dual-cell battery. It supports 150W Super Flash Charge which can charge the device from 0-50% in just 5 minutes. Likewise, it has support for wireless charging as well as reverse wireless charging.
OnePlus Ace features an optical under-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers. Furthermore, it supports 5G, 4G LTE, (2.4/5Ghz) Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and NFC.

OnePlus Ace Price in USA and Availability
OnePlus Ace retails at CNY 2,499 in China and goes up to 3,499 depending upon the variant you choose. It will go on sale in China on April 26 and is expected to hit the Indian market as the OnePlus 10R on April 28. If it ever launches in the USA, we expect the OnePlus Ace price in the USA to be around USD 390 for the base variant.
