Nokia G21 goes official with 90Hz display and a 5050mAh battery

Nokia has launched a new phone in the G-series – the Nokia G21. It is the successor to the Nokia G20 which was appreciated for its user experience and at the same time criticized for its poor specs. Here, we will be looking at the specifications, features, availability, and expected price of the Nokia G21 in Nepal.

Nokia G21 Overview:

Display and Design

Nokia G21 sports a big 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch. It has an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and 400 nits of typical brightness. Likewise, it has support for a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Moreover, you can stream content on Netflix and other video streaming platforms in HD.

Nokia G21 Design and Display

Like other budget phones, G21 also comes with a plastic back and plastic frame. Its back panel has a rectangular camera module and a “Nokia” branding at the center. Now, the fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power button. Furthermore, it is available in two color options: Nordic Blue and Dusk.

Camera and Performance

The handset comes with a triple camera setup on the back. There is a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and 0.64µm pixels. It is accompanied by a couple of 2MP macro and depth cameras. Similarly, it has an 8MP front-facing camera.

Nokia G21 Rear Camera

Nokia G31 is powered by a Unisoc T606 processor. It is an octa-core processor with a 1.6Ghz peak frequency. It is a downgrade from its predecessor which was packed with an Helio G35 processor.

The phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage. Its storage is expandable up to 512GB using a MicroSD card. Likewise, it runs on stock Android 11 out of the box. Nokia has also promised two years of major Android updates which means we will see Android 12 and Android 12 on the Nokia G21. Like, you will also get three years of security patch updates on the Nokia G31.

Rest of the Specs

The device comes with a 5050mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. However, the company is providing only a 10W charger inside the box.

The handset comes with a dedicated button for Google Assistant. Further, it features (2.4/5Ghz) Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC (Selected Market), GPS, USB Type-C 2.0 port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Nokia G21 Price in Nepal and Availability

Nokia G21 is priced at €170 and will be available soon in Europe. Since its predecessor was launched in Nepal, it should be heading toward Nepal soon. We expect the Nokia G21 price in Nepal to start at around NPR 24,999 when it launches in Nepal.
