Design and Display
The Moto G22 comes with a plastic panel as well as plastic frames. It got a wired-looking camera module that packs four cameras and an LED flash. Likewise, it has a Motorola logo on the center of the back panel and there is a fingerprint scanner on the power button. Moreover, there are four different color options: Black, Blue, White, and Green.
Around the front, you are looking at a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display that features a punch-hole design. It refreshes at 90Hz and has an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels.
Camera
Moving to the cameras, there is a quad camera setup on the back. Leading the setup is a 50MP primary camera that has an f/1.8 aperture. For taking super wide shots, it includes an 8MP ultrawide lens that has a 118-degree field of view. At last, it has a pair of 2MP macro and depth cameras for capturing macro and portrait shots.
On the front side, you get a 5MP selfie camera that runs at f/2.5 aperture. From both rear and front cameras, you can record videos up to 1080@30fps.
Performance
Running the show inside is the MediaTek Helio G37 chipset which is built under 12nm architecture. It is an SoC featuring an octa-core CPU where four Cortex-A53 are clocked at 2.3Ghz and the other four Cortex-A53. Likewise, it features PowerVR GE8320 GPU for handling graphics.
Talking about the memory configuration, the phone comes with 4GB of RAM paired with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. It also features a MicroSD card slot through which you can expand the storage up to 1TB. On the software things, you are getting Android 12 out of the box with My UX on top. Moreover, Motorola hasn’t promised any future software updates here.
