MacBook Air M2 was unveiled at the WWDC event 2022 with some major changes over its predecessor. It went on sale in the US just a few days ago and now its pre-booking has been opened in Nepal as well.
Apple introduced a notch design in their flagship Macbook Pro series launched last year. Now, they have included the same-looking notch on the newest MacBook Air as well. It flaunts a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with a 2560 x 1664 resolution and 1 billion color support.
This new machine is powered by Apple‘s latest M2 chipset which has 8 core CPU where 4 cores are performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. Here, you can choose between 8-core and 10-core GPU. As per the company, the new chipset is 1.4X faster than the M1 chipset and is more power efficient as well.
MacBook Air M2 has a Magsafe 3 charging port along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a pair of USB 4 (Thunderbolt) Type -C ports. For wireless connectivity, it features 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.
Apple claims that the laptop can play movies for up to 10 hours on the Apple TV app while it can last up to 15 hours on continuous web surfing. Its 52.6Whr battery charges at either 30W or 35W (charging speed depends on GPU cores )via a USB-C port. BTW, it supports 67W charging but you have to purchase that power adapter separately.
In Nepal, MacBook Air M2 is available in two variants: 8/256GB which has an 8-core GPU and 8/512GB which has a 10-core GPU. The 8/256GB of the MacBook Air M2 has been priced at NPR 199,000 while its 8/512GB retails at NPR 248,000 in Nepal. You can pre-order this laptop from Apple-authorized sellers in Nepal.
