Today, iQOO unveiled their first-ever budget phone. It was a little surprising because the company was known for launching flagship gaming phones. iQOO launched the iQOO U3x in China as an affordable 5G phone. iQOO U3x 5G Overview:

Display and Design

The iQOO U3x sports a 6.58-inches IPS LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels. It has a refresh rate of 90Hz and boosts the touch sampling rate up to 180Hz. There is a waterdrop notch at the top which houses a front-facing camera. Moreover, the panel has a nearly 84.2 percent screen-to-body ratio and 401-PPI density.

The phone comes with a gradient finish at the back with two color options: Blue and Grey. It measure 164.2 x 75.4 x 8.4mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 185.5g. There is a square camera bump that houses a dual-camera setup and a LED flash. Also, there is a vertical iQOO branding at the bottom left side of the rear panel.

Camera

As we mentioned earlier, iQOO U3x has a dual-camera setup. The setup is led by a 13MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. It is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4.

On the front, it has an 8MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2. It can record 4k@30fps from the rear camera only while it can record 1080p@30fps from both the rear and front camera.

Performance and Memory

The device features a Snapdragon 480 5G chipset. Currently, it is the cheapest 5G chipset from QUALCOMM. It got 100 percent improvement in both CPU and GPU from its sibling Snapdragon 460. The SD 480 has 2x 2.0GHz Kryo 460 & 6x 1.8GHz Kryo 460 CPU and Adreno 619 as GPU. It runs on OriginOS for iQOO based on Android 11.

The phone comes in three memory configurations: 4/128GB, 6/64GB, and 8/128GB. iQOO included “Memory Fusion” technology with which users can use 3GB of internal storage as RAM. But unfortunately, there is no physical option to expand the storage.

Battery and other Specs

A 5000mAh battery fuels the device which supports 18W of fast charging. Taking about the performance, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C 2.0, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

iQOO U3x 5G Price in Nepal and Availability

The iQOO U3x starts at the price of CNY1,199 for the 6/64GB and CNY models while it costs CNY1,499 for the 8/128GB variant. Vivo Nepal has not launched any iQOO devices in Nepal. If it launches here, we expect it to cost around Rs. 24,999 for the 4/128GB and 6/64GB models.
