Display and Design

Huawei Nova 8i brings a flat 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. While other companies like Xiaomi and Samsung are using AMOLED displays with a high refresh rate, it is a disappointing move from Huawei. Besides, the company has provided the latest punch-hole technology for a selfie camera.

The handset has a circular island that houses a quad-camera setup whereas a LED flash is placed on the top left corner. Its back panel is made up of 4D glass which provides an ultra-wide touch. It is available in three color options: Black, Blue, and Silver.

Camera

Moving on, there is a 64MP primary lens leading the quad-camera setup. It has an 8MP ultrawide lens for ultrawide shots. Completing the setup is a pair of 2MP macro and depth units for macro and portrait shots. Moreover, it has a 16MP front-facing camera inside the pill-shaped punch-hole cutout.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, Huawei Nova 8i packs an old Snapdragon 662 chipset. It is the same chipset used in Poco M3, Redmi 9 Power, and many other devices. The chipset features an eight-core CPU with a maximum frequency of 2.0Ghz and Adreno 610 GPU.

Users can choose between 6GB or 8GB of RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, it lacks a MicroSD card slot. Similarly, it runs on Android 10 with EMUI 11 on top.
