Finally, Honor has unveiled the Honer 50 series in China. The series includes Honor 50, Honor 50 Pro, and Honor 50 SE. First two smartphones are similar to each other with some slight changes. Let’s have a look at the specifications, features, expected price, and availability of the Honor 50 Pro in Nepal.

Display and Design
Here, Honor 50 Pro sports a 6.72-inch 75-degree curved AMOLED screen with a center-aligned dual punch-hole cutout. It has a Full HD+ resolution of 2676 x 1236 pixels resulting in a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 392-PPI density.
The panel brings a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. Due to the dynamic refresh rate, the battery will last longer. Further, it has a contract ratio of 5,000,000:1, covers up to 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and supports 10 bit 10 billion colors.
The phone measures 163.5 x 74.7 x 8 mm and weighs 187g. There is a pill-shaped camera bump on the back housing a quad-camera setup and a LED flash. “Honor” branding is placed on the bottom left corner otherwise the rear panel is quite clean and pleasing. It is available in four different color options: Amber Red, Emerald Green, Frost Crystal, and Midnight Black.

Camera
Honor has highlighted the camera the most. As I mentioned earlier, it has a quad-camera setup on the back. The top ring on the camera module encloses a 108MP primary sensor with a 1/1.52-inch sensor and 9 to 1 pixel binning to produce 12MP images. If you want a 108MP shot, you can manually turn ON the 108MP mode.
The remaining three sensors are not so interesting. There is a 8MP ultrawide lens and a pair of 2MP units for macro shots and depth data. There is a good news for vloggers, Honor has included a special Vlog mode which allow users to capture video from the front and back camera at the same time.
On the front, it has a dual camera setup. There is a 30MP main sensor accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide lens with 100-degree field of view. One interesting feature of the front camera is the portrait video that gives bokeh effect to your video.
Performance and Memory
Honor 50 Pro and 50 Pro are the first smartphones to packs Qualcomm’s brand new Snapdragon 778G. It is a 5G chipset based on 6nm technology. The chipset features an eight-core CPU with a maximum clock speed of up to 2.4GHz. Handling the graphics is Adreno 642L GPU.
Now, you can enjoy Google Play Services on Honor 50 Pro series outside China which is good news to hear. It is available in only one memory configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage.
GPU Turbo X is a graphics acceleration technology of software and hardware collaboration, which can efficiently process game screens under low power consumption.
Rest of the Specs
Fueling the phone is a 4000mAh battery that has support for 100W fast wired charging. According to the company, the 66W chargers can charge the phone from 0 to 100 percent in just 25 minutes.
It features 5G, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6 (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, Radio, and USB Type-C port. A disappointing part of this phone is the missing stereo speaker setup and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Honor 50 Pro go sale from June 25 in China with CNY 3,699 for the 8/256GB model. We expect the Honor 50 Pro to start at NPR 84,999 for the base variant if it launches in Nepal.
