Today, Google has launched the Pixel 6a in the Indian market. The device was unveiled on May 11, 2022, during the Google I/O event. Let’s have a look at the specifications, features, availability, and expected price of Google Pixel 6a in Nepal.

Design and Display

Pixel 6a has the same looking design as its expensive siblings. It has a metallic frame while its back panel is made up of plastic. Here, Google has included an IP67 rating making it dust/water resistant. Moreover, the device comes in three color options: Chalk, Charcoal, and Sage.

Coming to the front, you get a 6.1-inch OLED display that features a punch hole cutout at the top center. It only supports a 60Hz refresh rate and has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Likewise, the panel has a Full HD+ resolution with 429 PPI density. Further, it supports HDR content and can produce up to 16 million colors.

Camera

The cameras on Google’s Pixel smartphones are well-known. Google is now able to provide even better outcomes because of its own Tensor hardware. On the Pixel 6a, you get two cameras on the back. The main camera is a 12.2MP lens that has 1.4μm pixel width and an f/1.7 aperture along with OIS. Likewise, it includes a 12MP camera for taking 114-degree ultrawide shots.

Upfront, there is an 8MP selfie shooter that has an f/2.0 aperture and fixed focus. Performance

The Google Tensor chipset powers the Pixel 6a. It is based on 5nm architecture and it is the same SoC powering its pricier siblings. The chipset has an eight-core CPU with a 2.8GHz maximum clock speed. Further, Mali-G78 MP20 GPU handles graphics.

It also features a Titan M2 security chipset is also present. Google has also committed to providing the Pixel 6a with OS and security upgrades for at least five years. Talking about the memory, it has128GB of UFS 3.1 storage and 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

Rest of the Specs

The device features an optical under-display fingerprint for biometrics authentication. On the software side, it runs on Android 12 with a stock Android experience. Likewise, it comes with a stereo speakers setup but misses out on a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Fueling the device is a 4410mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. As per Google, the device can last up to 72 hours with Exter Battery Saver enabled.
