Chitwan was hit by a big storm last Friday night. Three people were killed, and two people were injured. Among them two of them were traveling via Rikchsaw and a tree fell on the Rickness and completely crushed it in Bhojad of Bharatpur-11.
Likewise, the last person was killed in Baseni while travelling in van. Other two people are also injured who are receiving treatment in Purano Medical College, Bharatpur and they were travelling in the same rickhsaw in which two people were died.
According to Police, those two who died in rickshaw are Pradeep Kumar Lama (age 50) of Lama Tole, Bharatpur-11 and Maya Gurung (age 28) of Kataharchok, Bharatpur-7. Similarly, two injured people are Abita Gurung (age 20) and Tul Maya Gurung (age 50).
The last one who died in Baseni was Loknath Neupane (age 48), a local of Baseni.
With that storm in Chitwan, many electric poles are destroyed. There is still no electricity and NEA is still working hard to fix those problems and get the electricity back. This Chitwan storm is one of the biggest in recent years in the main city area.
