Asus ZenFone 8 Flip Overview
Display and Design
Asus ZenFone 8 Flip is a huge phone with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Unfortunately, it supports only a 90Hz refresh rate. However, a 200Hz touch sampling rate makes it more responsive. The display is clean because of the flipping rear camera which also works as a front camera. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 6, supports HDR10+ contents, and covers 110% DCI-P3 and 105% NTSC color gamut.
The phone measures 165.04 x 77.28 x 9.6 mm and weighs 230g. There is a Smart Key that can be used to perform three different actions with a single, double, or long-press. It is available in two different color options: Galactic Black and Glacier Silver. Sadly, IP certification and a 3.5mm headphone jack is missing here.
Camera
The Asus ZenFone 8 Flip flaunts a triple camera setup on the back which also works as a selfie camera. The setup is led by a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor which lacks OIS. It is accompanied by a 12MP Sony IMX363 ultrawide lens which offers macro shots too. The third lens is an 8MP telephoto lens that supports 3x optical zoom and up to 12x digital zoom.
The phone can record 8k videos at 30fps, 4k up to 120fps, 1080p up to 240fps and 720p@480fps. It has a triple microphone setup with OZO Audio Zoom & ASUS Noise Reduction Technology.
