After lots of leaks, rumors, and teasers, Asus has finally unveiled the ROG Phone 6 Pro alongside its vanilla model. Design and Display
ROG Phone 6 Pro gets a big 6.78-inch AMOLED display that can reproduce up to 1B colors. It is an HDR10+ certified display that has a Full HD+ resolution. Similarly, the display has support for a 165Hz refresh rate and up to a 720Hz touch sampling rate. BTW, you can switch the refresh rate between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, or 144Hz. Moreover, its brightness can reach up to 1200 nits and has Gorilla Glass Victus Protection.
The device has an AirTrigger ultrasonic button on the right frame which is customizable. It also has an AMOLED display on the back that can be used to display some images or animations. Likewise, ROG Phone 6 Pro is the first gaming that is water-resistant and it bags an IPX4 rating. Furthermore, it comes in a Storm White color.
Performance
As I mentioned earlier, Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It has a peak frequency of 3.2Ghz and features Adreno 730 GPU for handling graphics. Compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, its CPU and GPU performance have improved by 10% and its got a 30% GPU power reduction.
Talking about memory, the device has 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the software side, it comes with Android 12 out of the box with ROG UI on top. As per the company, the cooling system included in this device can reduce the temperature of the CPU by up to 10°C.
Camera
Moving on, ROG Phone 6 Pro is featured with a triple camera setup on the back. The primary camera has a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. It misses out on OIS but it can record up to 8k videos at 24fps. Likewise, it can also record up to 60fps. The second lens is a 13MP ultrawide lens that has an f/2.2 aperture.
Completing the rear camera setup is a 5MP macro camera. Similarly, you get a 12MP Sony IMX663 selfie camera that is capable of recording videos up to 1080p@30fps.

The phone packs a pair of cells each of 3000mAh resulting in a 6000mAh battery in total. It got support for 65W fast charging via a USB Type-C 2.0 port. BTW, it also has another USB Type-C 3.1 port on the side frame.
